Mercury reaches key milestones on China Mobile International Data Centre, Frankfurt
Mercury recently reached a number of key milestones on the China Mobile International Data Centre project in Frankfurt, Germany. Recently, the first of seven generators has been installed onsite. CRAH units, LV panels and the remaining precast elements are also being installed simultaneously. This is testament to Mercury’s ethos of safe, swift delivery of construction projects. Mercury has also achieved 100,000 people hours without a single Lost Time Injury (LTI).
The 58-tonne generator was lifted and installed on the steel gantry on the second floor. A 500-tonne mobile crane was set up for this purpose. With the help of a 250-tonne mobile crane and a self-propelled modular transport (SPMT), the generator was moved to the 500T lifting position.
Stephanie Hofmann, Junior Project Manager stated “Congratulations to everyone on this great performance, particularly the lift team who has shown a fantastic professional commitment to ensure the successful delivery of this important milestone. Our team are working excellently together, and all social distancing regulations are being observed and implemented, as we deliver safely for our client”.
