Mercury completes Carbon Disclosure Project report with aim to halve emissions by 2030
Mercury is delighted to announce that we have now completed our Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) report for 2019, as we aim to halve our carbon emissions by 2030 in line with the BITC Carbon Pledge signed earlier this year.
The CDP is a non-for-profit organisation which supports companies and cities to disclose the environmental impact of major corporations. This report gives an overview of our scope 1 & 2 carbon emissions, examining figures that will empower us to identify where we can.
Earlier this year we announced a partnership with Clearstream Solutions and signed Business in The Community Ireland’s Low Carbon Pledge.
Patrick Hickey-Dwyer, Head of Strategic Corporate Development said: “This is a key milestone in our ongoing sustainability plan and forms a significant part of our journey towards reducing our carbon footprint. There will be a further announcement regarding our sustainability programme in the coming months.”
