Mercury delivers works on Tallaght Hospital Satellite Centre in Dublin, Ireland
Mercury has recently completed works on the new Tallaght Hospital Satellite Centre located on the grounds of the Tallaght Hospital campus in Tallaght, Dublin 24, Ireland.
The Satellite Centre is part of the new National Children’s Hospital (NCH) development, which encompasses the main new children’s hospital at at the St. James’s Hospital campus in Dublin 8 and the other of two satellite centres located at James Connolly Memorial Hospital in Blanchardstown, Dublin 15. Jointly the three new buildings will make up the National Paediatrics Hospital Dublin NPHD. The function of the Satellite centre is to act as a filter for less critical injuries and illnesses to the main children’s hospital in the St. James’s campus. The Satellite Centre will act primarily as an out-patient facility. Mercury completed works at the Blanchardstown site in 2019 and works are ongoing on site at St. James’s Hospital.
Mercury began works at Tallaght Hospital in April 2019. The project encountered a number of challenges, not least of which were the various Covid-19 shutdowns and restrictions that began in March 2020. Mercury is delighted to have delivered a state-of-the-art hospital to meet the expectations of all parties. The project was carried out under Operations Director Rory O’Brien and Business Unit Lead Seamus Reilly. Mercury’s Project Manager was James Murphy with Paul Hayes as Construction Manager.
