Marking Mental Health Day 2021 at Mercury
At Mercury, we are wishing all of our people, supply-chain members, and clients a positive day of mental health ahead of World Mental Health Day 2021, which takes place on Sunday 10th October.
In an effort to help break down the stigma associated with mental health problems we have asked our people to take some time out of their working day to check in on a colleague and actively listen to them over a cup of tea or coffee.
We want to drive home the message that the health, safety, and wellbeing of our people is of utmost importance and we should all contribute towards developing a culture of caring for one another. Mental health awareness is more important now than ever, and listening is helping.
Our people and supply-chain members across Europe recently took part in Tool Box Talks and stand-downs to mark this important mental health awareness initiative, in addition to this Mercury provides a free counselling service for all staff and have hosted counsellors on sites across some of our projects in recent weeks in an effort to drive a culture of wellbeing that enables our people to succeed and thrive.
Well done to all our employees who got involved in this initiative and made a difference!
