Mercury launches 2022 Scholarship Programme
Mercury is delighted to announce that our Scholarship Programme for 2022 has officially launched.
This year’s programme is open to all Mercury trades, general operatives and apprentices (3rd & 4th year).
Mercury assists our high-potential trades employees to progress their careers further, by moving into a professional role within the company, while upskilling with a third level education course.
We hosted an online event launching the event on Wednesday 23rd February which was well attended by staff from across the group.
We value the depth of experience and specialist knowledge of all our employees. We are committed to providing high-quality formal and informal learning as part of our continued investment in our people.
As part of our 2021 Scholarship Programme, we recently hosted a training day for our scholars at our Apprentice Development Centre in Ballycoolin, Dublin. Attendees were treated to a presentation focusing on topics such as pre-construction, BIM, EHS, time management, soft skills and other important elements of the business.
Mercury Scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis and in the following areas:
- Quantity Surveying
- Engineering
- Planning
- Estimation
- BIM
- Commissioning
- Project Management
- Quality Assurance
SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME
In 2016, Mercury launched its Scholarship Programme to identify our top employees and reward these high performers with a scholarship opportunity.
Moreover, we aim to develop staff all the way from being apprentices and promote them into key roles within the company as we believe they will play an important role in the company’s future. Mercury give our trades & apprentices the opportunity to receive financial assistance through third-level education, as well as a professional position within Mercury throughout the duration and after the completion of their scholarship. The company offers a number of scholarships per year depending on the demand and quality of applications.
