Mercury welcomes Niamh Gilmore as Group Health & Wellbeing Coordinator
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Niamh Gilmore, who joins Mercury as Group Health & Wellbeing Coordinator.
Niamh is a professional Life coach with advanced coaching accreditation from the Irish Life Coach Institute, alongside an advanced accreditation in mental health and wellness coaching. Niamh is also a highly experienced neuro-linguistic programming practitioner and holds a degree in psychology.
At Mercury, we understand the importance of the health and wellbeing of our people. We drive a culture that enables our people to succeed and thrive, while ensuring that all return home safely from work every day. By cultivating a positive and engaging working environment that supports and nurtures, we believe that our staff are better placed to deliver industry leading results.
As a member of our EHS team, Niamh will take on the responsibility of developing wellbeing initiatives across our projects, offices and facilities throughout Europe. She brings an extremely proactive approach to Mercury, having recently hosted wellbeing focused talks and coaching on our European project sites. Early feedback from management was that these seminars aided staff in maintaining focus at work, and in supporting their work life balance in planning out their personal time away from the workplace.
Commenting on her recent appointment, Niamh said: “It is inspiring to join a dynamic industry leader who is completely dedicated to the health, safety and wellbeing of their people. As a professional business and life-coach, I believe as human beings it is imperative that we create meaning in our lives, both in work and play. Organisations who recognise this human need will develop a healthy and happy workforce. My goal is to support our workforce in developing healthy habits across all pillars of wellbeing. It is essential that we recognise that health and wellbeing is a subjective experience and not a ‘one-size fits all’ approach. I can’t wait to get involved and see where I can add further value to our existing global approach to health and wellbeing.”
We welcome the wealth of experience and knowledge that Niamh brings to Mercury.
