Sustainable intelligence: Monitoring our progress with Tracker+
We have introduced Tracker+ to monitor our environmental and sustainability performance against set goals and milestones on our projects throughout Europe.
Tracker+ is a comprehensive, end-to-end management system for responsible project planning, which sets Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for sustainability performance. By capturing actual results against our KPIs, this software supports the delivery of more environmentally friendly projects and operations.
To minimise our environmental footprint, we are monitoring our Green House Gas (GHG) emissions and are continuously evaluating and updating our responsible practices to lower our carbon footprint, as we explore ways to improve energy efficiency throughout our project operation regions.
We track data on important items such as waste management, electricity, water usage, efficiency, diesel purchases, mileage driven by site vehicles and more. The challenge is monitoring these outcomes against KPIs and maintaining an accurate count of key environmental performance indicators on projects.
Using traditional data capture methods such as excel spreadsheets can be a complex undertaking as they become large and difficult to manage, especially with multiple attachments for each project entry and Tracker+ has streamlined this process.
Tracker+ records all sustainability data in one place, enabling project teams to progressively monitor performance. We have submitted our own Science Based Targets (SBT) for carbon reduction, and this software will provide us with greater visibility of the progress we are making in our goal to lower carbon emissions.
In conjunction to this, we have hosted several awareness and training sessions with project leaders and team members to improve their understanding of Mercury’s impact on the environment, as we continue to deliver projects in various locations throughout EMEA.

Our Planet, Our Duty is our promise to help create a more sustainable environment around us. It forms one of the foundation blocks of Beyond50, our five year plan to push further and take Mercury beyond our 50th year in business.
