Scope of the Role:

Mercury is seeking a Senior Planner who will be responsible for a project or portfolio of projects (regional / sectoral). They will also be responsible for all aspects of planning, as defined by Mercury Planning Guidelines

 

Key Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Reporting to Planning Department; Reporting to Business Unit / Project Management
  • Developing and maintaining schedules for pre-construction / construction / commissioning
  • Developing and maintaining progress databases
  • Progress reporting
  • Milestone projections, delay / float path analysis
  • Earned Value Management systems
  • Monitoring schedule performance and productivity
  • Auditing progress on site
  • Attending schedule meetings, liaising with client and subcontractors
  • Preparation of tender schedules
  • Preparation of histograms
  • Leading planning meetings
  • Supporting weekly workface planning systems
  • Resource / cash loading of schedules
  • Providing data for payment applications
  • Completing contract review reports
  • Responsibility for quality and accuracy of schedules and reports
  • Making relevant parties aware of issues and advising on solutions
  • Recording delay and disruption
  • Assisting in the preparation of claims and providing data for contractual disputes
  • Travelling to projects in order to carry out the above, if required
  • Managing, training, coaching, supporting, developing, leading staff, if required
  • Covering Planning Manager responsibilities when required
  • Covering Project Planner responsibilities when required
  • All other duties associated with role

Essential Criteria for the Role:

  • Relevant qualification in Engineering subject and/ or Planning/ Project Planning
  • 5 years’ experience as a Project Planner/ Senior Planner on large scale projects
  • Experience with Data Centres would be an advantage
  • Experience leading a team of planners with excellent communication and organisation skills
  • Proficiency in Excel.

Rollens omfang:

Mercury søger en Senior Planner, der vil være ansvarlig for et projekt eller en portefølje af projekter (regionalt/sektorielt).De vil også være ansvarlige for alle aspekter af planlægning, som defineret af Mercury Planning Guidelines

Nøgleansvar for rollen:

  • Rapportering til planlægningsafdelingen; Rapportering til forretningsenhed / projektledelse
  • Udvikling og vedligehold af tidsplaner for præ-konstruktion / konstruktion / idriftsættelse
  • Udvikling og vedligeholdelse af fremdriftsdatabaser
  • Statusrapportering
  • Milepælsprojektioner, forsinkelse / flydebaneanalyse
  • Optjente værdistyringssystemer
  • Overvågning af tidsplanens ydeevne og produktivitet
  • Revision af fremskridt på stedet
  • Deltagelse i planlægningsmøder, kontakt med bygherre og underleverandører
  • Udarbejdelse af udbudsplaner
  • Udarbejdelse af histogrammer
  • Ledelse af planlægningsmøder
  • Understøttelse af ugentlige arbejdsfladeplanlægningssystemer
  • Ressource / kontant indlæsning af tidsplaner
  • Levering af data til betalingsansøgninger
  • Udarbejdelse af kontraktgennemgang rapporter
  • Ansvar for kvalitet og nøjagtighed af tidsplaner og rapporter
  • At gøre relevante parter opmærksomme på problemstillinger og rådgive om løsninger
  • Optagelsesforsinkelse og forstyrrelse
  • Assistere ved udarbejdelse af krav og levere data til kontraktlige tvister
  • At rejse til projekter for at udføre ovenstående, hvis det er nødvendigt
  • Ledelse, træning, coaching, støtte, udvikling, ledelse af personale, hvis det er nødvendigt
  • Dækker planlægningschefens ansvar, når det er nødvendigt
  • Dækker projektplanlæggerens ansvar, når det er nødvendigt
  • Alle andre opgaver forbundet med rollen

Væsentlige kriterier for rollen:

  • Relevant uddannelse inden for ingeniørfag og/eller planlægning/projektplanlægning
  • 5 års erfaring som Project Planner/Senior Planner på større projekter
  • Erfaring med datacentre vil være en fordel
  • Erfaring med at lede et team af planlæggere med fremragende kommunikations- og organisationsevner
  • Kendskab til Excel.
