HV/MV Project Manager, Ireland

Scope of Role
The HV/MV project manager to oversee installations and operations of HM/MV works on projects Ireland and Europe. This role wil be based in in Ireland with travel to Europe on a regular bases.
Responsibilities of the role:
· Establish performance and delivery criteria, ensuring that client requirements are being met
· Liaise with the client and establish a trusting relationship to ensure future project opportunities.
· Develop and administer quality control provisions; liaise on project cost estimating and value engineering, as appropriate
· Liaise with the client on KPI development and implementation.
· Champion Mercury's Safety implementation on site and at site Safety Leadership Teams
· Champion Mercury's Quality focus on site and implement 'Right First Time' measures.
· Track and report at weekly client update meetings.
· Liaise with the Commercial team to ensure contracts, purchase orders, payment certificates and change orders are issued in accordance with company policies.
· Management of Mercury team on site and coordination of Internal resources with regard to travel etc.
· Planning of all resources including labor, materials and sub-contractors
· To manage and drive a large team to meet with all project requirements and deadlines
· Producing procurement plan, drawing/design plan, construction program, s-curve and histogram.
· Creation of installed drawings and O&M manuals.
· Ensure processing of requisitions, generation of purchase orders and delivery to site is done in a timely manner.
· Develop a constructible and detailed schedule with the project planner.
· To understand the nature of working in a live environment and appreciate the importance of maintaining all client's systems during construction phases.
· Liaise with the client regarding the permitting of all works within the live environment and participate in the development of RAMS and relevant client permits.
· Ensure the adherence to safety and quality standards.
· All other duties associated with this role.
Criteria and Qualifications:
· Electrical Engineering degree with extensive relevant experience.
· Experience 5-10 years construction/engineering experience, with years as a Project Engineer working on HV/MV assets.
· HV asset management experience, ideally within distribution and/or generation, transmission, or utilities.
· Proven record of coordinating and managing large installation projects
· Experience in acting as a single point of contact.
· Knowledge of Health & Safety
· Experienced in design and build.
· Able to work under pressure and preform only evidence-based decision making.
· Excellent IT skills
· Excellent communication skills
· Ability to work well within strict deadlines
· Ability to drive a large-scale project
