Scope of the Role:
As a QA/QC mechanical inspector you are required to help in the delivery of a zero defect/zero rework project. Our quality goal is “Zero snags at the time where the foreman announces that a system or part of a system in complete”. You are required to help deliver your department goals in a forward looking and controlled manner.
Key Responsibilities of the Role:
- Assist in the development of any project specific work procedures
- Assist in the development of any project specific ITP’s.
- Hold Quality Induction Workshops to promote awareness of the project specific requirements.
- Conducts and records surveillance / in progress inspections of the Mechanical installations
- Carry out interim installation line walks to ensure that the following are being carried out in accordance with the requirements of the relative specification:
- Correct POC Identified
- Latest drawings available
- Supports installed as construction progresses
- Labelling correct
- Welding inspections carried out as required
- Equipment installed as per P&ID
- High point vents and low point drains installed as required
- Correct bolt and gasket types being installed
- Correct pipe shields installed as required
- Assists in Final Inspections with the Construction Supervisors as required.
- Assists with collation of documentation for the Construction Handover dossiers (i.e. QCC dossiers).
- Inspection Frequency as attached in specific ITP’s.
- Quality Reporting (internal to Mercury Engineering)
- All other duties associated with this role
Essential Criteria for the Role:
- A relevant Third Level or Professional Qualification
- Ability to work well under pressure and within strict deadlines
- Excellent communication skills
- Good organisational and planning skills
- Excellent work and personal ethics that include trustworthiness, commitment, and empathy
- Confident, creative, and energetic approach to addressing all quality-related issues
- Ability to produce quality written reports
- Proficient in the use of MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint

Rollens omfang:
Som en QA/QC mekanisk inspektør er du forpligtet til at hjælpe med leveringen af et nul defekt/nul omarbejdningsprojekt. Vores kvalitetsmål er "Nul snags på det tidspunkt, hvor værkføreren meddeler, at et system eller en del af et system er færdig". Du er forpligtet til at hjælpe med at levere dine afdelingsmål på en fremadskuende og kontrolleret måde.
Nøgleansvar for rollen:
- Assistere i udviklingen af projektspecifikke arbejdsprocedurer
- Assistere i udviklingen af projektspecifikke ITP'er.
- Hold kvalitetsinduktionsworkshops for at fremme bevidstheden om de projektspecifikke krav.
- Udfører og registrerer overvågning/igangværende inspektioner af de Mekaniske installationer
- Udfør midlertidige installationsledningsvandringer for at sikre, at følgende udføres i overensstemmelse med kravene i den relevante specifikation:
- Korrekt POC identificeret
- Seneste tegninger tilgængelige
- Understøtninger installeres efterhånden som byggeriet skrider frem
- Mærkning korrekt
- Svejseinspektioner udført efter behov
- Udstyr installeret i henhold til P&ID
- Højpunktsventiler og lavpunktsafløb installeres efter behov
- Korrekte bolte og pakningstyper monteres
- Korrekte rørskærme monteret efter behov
- Assisterer ved afsluttende eftersyn med byggelederne efter behov.
- Assisterer med indsamling af dokumentation for Construction Handover-dossiererne (dvs. QCC-dossierer).
- Inspektionsfrekvens som vedhæftet i specifikke ITP'er.
- Kvalitetsrapportering (internt til Mercury Engineering)
- Alle andre opgaver forbundet med denne rolle
