Key Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Ensure EHS management systems for all the projects are implemented and maintained
  • Adherence to the project & Mercury Engineering Safety Management system
  • Adherence to relevant Environmental, Health & Safety statutory provisions & legislation
  • Adherence to Mercury Engineering & PSCS Environmental, Health & Safety Plans.
  • Coordination in the development of task specific method statements, risk assessments, safe plan of action and permit to work.
  • Compliance with the project safety statement.
  • Coordination of project safety indicators.
  • Good Safety Practices are managed & maintained.
  • Ongoing C.O.S.H.H assessments, control of hazardous substances.
  • Safety interventions are completed & registered.
  • Carry out regular site audits and inspection, document reports and establish corrective and preventive actions to prevent reoccurrence and continuous improvements
  • Attend and provide input at site meetings, report on EHS risks, trends and recommend constructive actions towards continuous improvements
  • Good safety practices are managed & maintained.
  • Provide advice and guidance in all EHS matters to management, safety representatives and employees
  • Records of statutory inspections are available for project activities, tool and plant.
  • Adopt a Proactive approach to project EHS requirements.
  • Provide Safety input to site management & at site EHS forums.
  • Ensure project sub-contractor adhere to project EHS policies & procedures.
  • Mercury Engineering site induction & training is coordinated, managed & maintained.
  • Project PPE is resourced & available.
  • Compile & carry out Toolbox talks, as necessary.
  • Assist or carry out accident investigation reports in a timely manner & ensure communication to Mercury Engineering project management.
  • Welfare & Hygiene facilities are in place, managed & maintained.
  • Liaison with site Project Management on environmental, health & safety issues.
  • Up to date documentation is included with the Safety File.
  • Waste reduction and recycling programmes are maintained in line with project pol-icies & procedures.

 

Essential Criteria for the Role:

  • Relevant third level Certificate qualification in Environmental, Health & Safety
  • 3 years minimum site experience
  • Thorough knowledge of current environmental, health and safety legislation
  • Flexibility in working patterns where necessary.
  • Ability to efficiently manage all environmental, health and safety issues on site.
  • Strong communication & computer skills,
  • Ability to work on own initiative and possess strong interpersonal and communications skills.

  • Sikre, at EHS-ledelsessystemer for alle projekter er implementeret og vedligeholdt
  • Overholdelse af projektet & Mercury Engineering Safety Management system
  • Overholdelse af relevante lovbestemmelser og lovgivning for miljø, sundhed og sikkerhed
  • Overholdelse af Mercury Engineering & PSCS miljø-, sundheds- og sikkerhedsplaner.
  • Koordinering i udvikling af opgavespecifikke metodeerklæringer, risikovurderinger, sikker handlingsplan og arbejdstilladelse.
  • Overholdelse af projektets sikkerhedserklæring.
  • Koordinering af projektsikkerhedsindikatorer.
  • God sikkerhedspraksis administreres og vedligeholdes.
  • Løbende COSHH-vurderinger, kontrol af farlige stoffer.
  • Sikkerhedsindgreb er gennemført og registreret.
  • Udfør regelmæssige audits og inspektioner på stedet, dokumentere rapporter og etablere korrigerende og forebyggende handlinger for at forhindre gentagelse og løbende forbedringer
  • Deltag i og giv input på webstedsmøder, rapporter om EHS-risici, tendenser og anbefale konstruktive handlinger i retning af løbende forbedringer
  • God sikkerhedspraksis administreres og vedligeholdes.
  • Yde råd og vejledning i alle EHS-forhold til ledelse, sikkerhedsrepræsentanter og medarbejdere
  • Fortegnelser over lovpligtige inspektioner er tilgængelige for projektaktiviteter, værktøj og anlæg.
  • Vedtag en proaktiv tilgang til projektets EHS-krav.
  • Giv sikkerhedsinput til webstedsledelsen og på webstedets EHS-fora.
  • Sørg for, at projektets underleverandør overholder projektets EHS-politikker og -procedurer.
  • Mercury Engineering site induktion og træning koordineres, administreres og vedligeholdes.
  • Projekt PPE har ressourcer og er tilgængelig.
  • Kompiler og gennemfør Toolbox-samtaler efter behov.
  • Assistere eller udføre ulykkesundersøgelsesrapporter rettidigt og sikre kommunikation til Mercury Engineerings projektledelse.
  • Velfærds- og hygiejnefaciliteter er på plads, administreres og vedligeholdes.
  • Kontakt med webstedets projektledelse om miljø-, sundheds- og sikkerhedsspørgsmål.
  • Opdateret dokumentation er inkluderet i sikkerhedsfilen.
  • Affaldsreduktions- og genbrugsprogrammer vedligeholdes i overensstemmelse med projektets politikker og procedurer.

 

Væsentlige kriterier for rollen:

  • Relevant certifikatkvalifikation på tredje niveau i miljø, sundhed og sikkerhed
  • Minimum 3 års erfaring fra stedet
  • Indgående kendskab til gældende miljø-, sundheds- og sikkerhedslovgivning
  • Fleksibilitet i arbejdsmønstre, hvor det er nødvendigt.
  • Evne til effektivt at håndtere alle miljø-, sundheds- og sikkerhedsspørgsmål på stedet.
  • Stærke kommunikations- og computerfærdigheder,
