Key Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Managing the CSA estimation teams, with assigning resources and ensuring accountability on estimates.
  • Ensuring all Estimates have been completed with the correct due diligence and follow the estimation process.
  • Attending the Estimation resource meetings and being able to understand where all bids are currently at and the status.
  • Consistent reporting to the Bid/Estimation Manager on the progress of the estimates.
  • Adherence to the guidelines around the bid process, from the construction input at tender stage to the handover post contract.
  • Managing post tender clarifications and negotiations.
  • Meet with construction commercial team on projects to ensure lessons learnt are shared and estimates updated to reflect these learnings.
  • Assessment on the Design status, engagement with the Central Engineering team
  • Seek opportunities with new supply chain.
  • Most important a committed team member working closely with the pre-construction and construction teams.
  • All other duties associated with this role and/or reasonably required by the Company the Company reserves the right to vary the scope and nature of the Employee’s normal duties to take into account changes in the Company’s work patterns and practices and the requirements of its business.

 

 

Essential Criteria for the Role:

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying 
  • 5 - 10 years' experience in Quantity Surveying/Estimating role 
  • Data centre CSA commercial experience desirable.
  • Competent in assessing Contract Documents and contract requirements 
  • Proven track record working on projects over €10-15m 
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail. 
  • High level of competency in BQ preparation and pricing. 
  • Travel: There will be a requirement to travel occasionally for day trip / overnight to attend client meetings, for both post and mid bid meeting requirements, when the need arises.
