Scope of the Role:
The Project Controls Analyst will work as part of an experienced Project Controls team at Group Level across all projects and will also work closely with the Business Units Senior Management & Commercial Teams. The Project Controls Department is integral in overseeing the project’s cost management strategy, aligning with the organisation’s financial requirements, and ultimately contributing to the overall business success. You will be responsible for collating and analysing all commercial data associated with projects and identifying any risks or opportunities. The role is 4 days a week in our head office in Sandyford, with occasional visits to our sites across Europe. The successful candidate will be offered an excellent renumeration package and an opportunity to work in an expanding construction business with great career prospects.
Key Responsibilities of the role:
- Working alongside all members of project controls.
- Analysing group wide figures and preparing summary reports for Executive Management.
- Analysing all monthly figures issued by project teams.
- Reviewing and assisting with quarterly forecasting (Revenue & Profits).
- Assisting with the issue of all monthly output Reports to executive management.
- Preparing for a new reporting month in key files.
- Management of all internal platforms - Managing Access, Adding New Projects & Downloading Reports.
- Weekly and monthly cost reports as requested from various teams/business units.
- Liaising with all business units.
- Responsible for ensuring all cost control procedures on the project are followed.
Essential Criteria for the Role:
- 3+ years’ experience in a cost control / commercial administrator role.
- PC literate with competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Ability to manage a large volume of work.
- Attention to detail with excellent numerical ability.
- Excellent analytical & problem-solving ability
- Ability to work to deadlines.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Excellent communication skills both written & verbal.
Desirable Skills:
- SAP experience advantage but not essential as full training will be given.
- Analytical software experience e.g. Power Bi
- Experience in the construction or engineering industry advantageous.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
