As part of our commitment to drive best-in-class safety and well-being performance across our organisation, we recently presented Making Safety Personal (MSP) training on one of our Amsterdam Data Centre projects. This was carried out in conjunction with our ongoing initiatives to train all project personnel in behaviour-based safety (BBS), continuous improvement and mental health & wellness. This also provided opportunities for additional open and honest feedback from all project personnel outside of the project’s regularly scheduled meetings, discussions and ‘toolbox talks’.

The course aimed to reinforced Mercury’s commitment to safety and the company’s expectation that our team ‘work to live’ and ensure that our team members do not take unnecessary safety risks on projects.

This emphasis on understanding the consequences for personal and home life make the training particularly impactful for attendees.

Participants’ Feedback

This course demonstrates Mercury’s real commitment to safety and wellness, focusing on mental health. Participants’ feedback included:

“This course is a great addition to get safety and wellbeing in your DNA instead of it just being in your short-term memory”.

“This course gives me a sense that [Mercury] genuinely care about our safety and wellbeing. It is great to work for Mercury”.
