Christian Murphy appointed as new General Manager of Fire Protection at Mercury
Mercury is delighted to announce the appointment of Christian Murphy to the role of General Manager of the Fire Protection Business Unit from 2nd January 2020. Christian has been working for Mercury for 18 years and has a broad knowledge of both the Fire Protection Business and the Construction Industry. Given his experience in varying sectors, and of managing Mercury projects and Fire Protection teams to successfully deliver projects, Christian is uniquely positioned to lead the Fire Protection Department in its continued success and growth.
Christian holds a Master’s Degree in Engineering Management from University College Dublin. In this role, Christian’s focus will be on leading the business unit to deliver Mercury’s vision and core values. This appointment is a testament to the Company’s commitment to developing and promoting our employees from within as part of our succession planning.
Christian takes over the leadership of the Fire Protection Business Unit from John Littlefield and Liam Tighe who have successfully grown and expanded the Unit since the founding of the company. Both will remain involved in the Company and act in an advisory role to the Fire Protection Business Unit.
