Mercury launches ‚Personal Safety Plan‘ initiative for staff and supply-chain
Mercury is delighted to announce the launch of our new ‘Personal Safety Plan’ initiative as part of our EHS programme for December.
This comes as part of our EHS focus in the run up to Christmas and the new year and aims to make a visible and measurable commitment of our staff’s personal safety for the year ahead.
The purpose of this programme is to ensure that each Mercury employee and supply-chain members working on our projects, complete a Personal Safety Plan which defines the following:
- Employee’s areas of accountability
- Why they want to work safely
- What actions they must undertake that they carry out their duties in a safe manner
This initiative also includes measurable goals that allow employees to reflect on their commitment and personalises the safety plan to the individual.
This comes as part of our EHS focus in the run up to Christmas and the new year and aims to make a visible and measurable commitment of our staff’s personal safety plans for the year ahead and also aims to improve communication regarding safety on our project sites.
The first two Personal Safety Plans of this programme have been completed by Eoin Vaughan, CEO and Michael O’Connor, Group EHS Director.
This initiative is being led by our EHS teams and we are looking forward to seeing Personal Safety Plans displayed and promoted across our projects throughout Europe.
