Mercury reaches practical completion for CyrusOne’s flagship Frankfurt III Data Centre
Mercury has accomplished the practical completion of CyrusOne Frankfurt III, our client’s flagship data centre in Sossenheim, Germany. As the primary contractor for this project, Mercury carried out the full design and build of this state-of-the-art facility delivering 22MW of IT power to 11,990 sq m of world-class technical space.
The scope of works for the project included the completion of a four-storey concrete structure, steel gantries to house 115 indirect adiabatic cooling units, 8 data halls alongside technical space and office areas, and the construction of a 520m2 110KV substation within the site boundary.
This milestone project signalled the first collaboration between Mercury and CyrusOne, a leading global real estate investment trust (REIT), who specialise in design, construction and operation of more than 50 high-performance data centres worldwide.
This is an exciting time for Mercury to collaborate with CyrusOne, whose experience and capability to consistently deliver mission critical capacity in markets where there is considerable hyperscale demand is enabling significant growth of their European portfolio.
