Marking our solidarity with Ukraine on St. Patrick’s Day 2022
As we come together to mark St. Patrick’s Day 2022, it is essential that we illustrate our ongoing support and show solidarity with the people of Ukraine during this distressing period.
Traditionally, this is a time of national celebration for Ireland and its global diaspora. This year our minds and thoughts are firmly with all of those affected by this war.
In a typical year many of the world’s best-known landmarks are illuminated in green on March 17th and this is a tradition that we usually follow here at Mercury. This year, the tone and theme has evolved. Today, Mercury House, our HQ in Dublin, proudly displays the colours of blue and yellow as a symbol of our unity with the Ukrainian people.
As a global contractor we are greatly concerned by the growing humanitarian crisis and have donated €100,000 to Red Cross operations in Ukraine and surrounding countries where refugees are fleeing to safety.
Our project teams across Europe have organised several fundraiser activities and have sent important supplies to those most affected by this devastating invasion.
In addition to this, we are offering fast-track employment for suitable candidates who have been forced to flee Ukraine. If you are seeking work with Mercury, register your interest using the link below and our recruiters will contact you to discuss potential job matches. Accommodation can be provided if applicable.
