Groundbreaking ceremony takes place at Mercury’s 25m OSM facility in Germany
The ceremony for the construction of Mercury’s new engineering and offsite manufacturing facility took place on October 17th. The 25,000 square meter property located in Schönebeck, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany will serve as a key OSM hub for the region.
Mercury, the European leader in construction solutions, laid the foundation of its much anticipated OSM facility during an illustrious ceremony attended by the honourable Sven Schulze, Minister of Economic Affairs Saxony-Anhalt, key Mercury leaders, and representatives from partner company Max Boegl. Stefan Zöller, Managing Director of Advanced Technology, Patrick Hickey Dwyer, Head of Risk and Corporate Development at Mercury and Minister Schulze proudly addressed the attendees to mark the festivities and the importance of the facility for the local economy.
Mercury has committed to a €25 million first phase investment while the second phase of the facility development may see investment grow to €45 million. As Mercury’s engineering hub for mainland Europe, the facility will deliver design, BIM, and value engineering services that will provide even greater support to its clients across the continent, and accelerate operations in the Life Sciences and Semiconductor sectors.
