Scope of the Role:
Mercury is currently looking for an BIM / Information Lead to join our pre-construction team. The role will be based in our head office in Dublin.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and independent individual that can contribute to our team with deep knowledge and understanding of the information management and 3D modelling.
The role will be focused on leading the information management of the team and lead the use of 3D models in the tender process.
Key Responsibilities of the Role:
- Set up and manage the information management system within the tender department.
- Develop and lead the usage of BIM360 docs and other document management software.
- Lead and develop the work and usage of 3D models in the tender process.
- Engage with consultants for BIM purposes.
- Set up user roles and for BIM360 platform.
- Review procedures for information sharing and usage of the common platforms and data environments.
- Set up 3D models for take-off and schedule usage.
- Review subcontract and supplier proposals and develop technical / commercial comparison for evaluation BIM capabilities.
- Review project specific information requirements for each project.
- Identify project risks and mitigation plans to deal with these risks.
- And many other interesting aspects of the project and the tendering process.
Essential Criteria for the Role:
- B.Sc. of Mechanical or Electrical engineering or equivalent.
- Proficient in Navisworks, Revit, AutoCad, Excel, PowerBI
- 5-10 years experience as an engineer in construction or engineering.
- Site experience for a contractor is an advantage.
- Experience in using 3D modelling tools (Revit, AutoCad) is a requirement.
- Fluently communicating in German or French is an advantage.
