Key Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Leading and continually promoting “Right First Time, Every Time – Zero Defects” approach.
  • Supporting Project Quality Manager in day-to-day tasks and activities
  • Implementing and promoting Mercury QMS
  • Implementing BIM360 and BIM360 Field including training delivery to Mercury’s staff and Subcontractors
  • Analysing non-conformances, issues and snags and participating in the proposal, implementation, and evaluation of corrective actions.
  • Surveying ITP listed activities and preparing reports.
  • Participating in Witness and Hold Points, as defined in ITPs.
  • Raising nonconformances, snags and issues on ad-hoc basis (when and where required)
  • Monitoring Subcontractors’ and Suppliers’ quality performance, collecting data and producing reports.
  • Participating in site inspections lead by Mercury and/or Client.
  • Monitoring and maintaining Registers (i.e. ITP, Benchmark, Calibration, etc.) and assisting Subcontractors in establishing and maintaining those.
  • Monitoring and randomly checking compliance with document control requirements including but not limited to material submissions, procedure, material inspections, checklists ITPs, benchmarks, etc.
  • Reviewing and preparation of ITPs and ensuring that the QC components are identified and addressed in associated ITPs. Acceptance
  • Assists project staff in the preparation of quality documentation, such as method statements, Material Submittals, Quality Control Plans for special processes.
  • Performing works inspections and preparing reports
  • Collating documents and records required.
  • Promote Mercury Quality principles at every opportunity.
  • Any activity undertaken shall be compliant with the traceable guiding document.
  • ITP Preparation, review, and approval
  • Benchmark completion and approval as per agreed list of activity.
  • Attending/Leading Subcontractors and producing MoM and attendance sheet
  • Producing Quality Alert
  • Conducting Audits for assigned project.
  • Achieving Monthly Audit scores to be >90%
  • Delivering Training and Inductions to be Mercury, Subcontractors and Clients
  • Closing out NCRs as per agreed closeout dates
  • Closing out Snags as per agreed closeout dates
  • The job is based in the office and requires frequent visits to the site which can be prolonged depending on the project requirements.
  • Exposure to dust is expected and PPE is provided as required.
  • Exposure to high level noise is expected due to the machinery operating in the vicinity and PPE is provided as required.
  • Always adhere to the Mercury’s QHSE Policy and those of Clients (as applicable)
  • Champion a safe behaviour by leading by example.

 

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience of large multi discipline projects
  • Minimum 10 years’ inspection surveillances on client behalf overseeing vendors and sub-contractors work activities on pipework, electrical mechanical, structural steelwork.
  • Experience in Mechanical equipment, welding, testing, CE marking.
  • Experience in use of work packs and test packs.
  • Experience in preservation activities preferred.
  • Experience in Modular build.
  • Good knowledge of firsthand use ensuring Right first Time” approach
