High-purity systems transport Gases, Chemicals and water through different process stages and steps  As a High Purity Fitter, you are expected to be experienced in High purity piping systems where contaminants of any kind cannot be tolerated, and each system produces a controlled level of cleanness.  This requires adhering to, following, and installing to High Purity company SOPs and Project Specifications to achieve that level of cleanness. It also requires alternative methods of fabrication (In class10 Cleanrooms), inspection, and testing.

 

Key Responsibilities of the Role:

You are required to be proficient in the following areas and will be required to complete the Mercury High Purity Protocol Training course to ensure full understanding of the following:

  • Read and understand project drawings.
  • Measure and sketch up isometrics on site.
  • Tube Bending to isometrics.
  • Installing Spools.
  • Capping & Bagging.
  • Cutting & facing.
  • Using a Hand Tube Bender.
  • Tube Fitting Assembly (Compression Fittings).
  • Installing a VCR Fitting.
  • Installing VCR Gaskets.
  • Purging Procedures.
  • Storage of material.
  • Supports & Hangers.
  • Installation Requirements.

 

Essential Criteria for the Role:

  • National Craft Certificate
  • Safe Pass
  • Manual Handling

 

Desirable

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and within a strict deadline environment.
  • Ability to drive a large-scale project.
  • A construction background.
