David Byrne
Pre-Construction DirectorDavid is Mercury's Pre-Construction Director and leads a functional area comprising both estimation and pre-construction teams. From initial pre-qualification to contract signature, David is responsible for all pre-contract, sales and marketing, estimation, and preconstruction activities for the group.
David has been with Mercury for 27 years, beginning as an apprentice electrician and taking on various roles and functions across multiple departments throughout his tenure. As a member of Mercury’s Executive Management Team (EMT), David brings a level of expertise that is essential to the growth and development of the business. In addition to his practical experience, David has completed multiple professional courses including Quantity Surveying, Construction Law, and Leadership Management.
David has held various industry positions including membership of the PT&C committee of the Construction Industry Federation (CIF) in Ireland, also a past Chairman of the Contracts Committee of the CIF.
