Mercury Engineering were successful in a competitive tender for the iconic DAA Dublin Airport Terminal 2. The project commenced in Feb 2008 and was completed in Nov 2010. Throughout the project the Mercury Project team invested huge effort in delivering a very complex project.
Dublin Airport Terminal 2 & Pier E project contains numerous sustainable Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) installations such as; Rainwater Harvesting, Building Management System (BMS) controls, Building Systems Integration (BSI), CHP (Combined Heat & Power), DALI (Digital Addressable Lighting Interface) controls for lighting output, PMS (Power Management System) of both MV & LV power systems; AHUs (Air Handling Units) combining efficient Heat Exchangers, modern Fan Coil Units & UPS Equipment.
The project set a large logistic challenge due to the restrictions of working at a live airport with all the issues that that presents including heightened security procedures and strict delivery procedures and processes.
