Mercury is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. We are continually working to increase the accessibility and usability of our website and in doing so adhere to available standards and guidelines.
The following are some of the things that we have implemented to support accessibility:
- Fully responsive website
- Content is accessed through a keyboard in an accessible way
- Elements with button functionality have been tagged for assistive technology
- Menus have been tagged for assistive technology
- Naming of images
- Heading styles are used correctly to organise the structure of the content
- The content management system implementation supports accessibility
- Fonts sizes are large and letter spacing wide enough to be readable
- Foreground and background colours have sufficient contrast
- Forms are designed for accessibility
The following are some shortfalls we are working on to improve:
- Providing full compliance with WCAG 2.2 AA
