Scope of the Role:

Deliver best in class performance through professional, competitive, and efficient buying processes, controls, and systems.

 

Key Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Responsible for procurement to pay process from Sourcing to invoice clearance.
  • Supplier sourcing and negotiations.
  • Conducting bid analysis and processing of purchase orders.
  • Liaison with suppliers and accounts payable team regarding invoice queries.
  • The preparation of regular reports on purchasing activities.
  • Maintain Procurement Schedules with project teams and planning function.
  • Negotiate vendor alliances.
  • Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders such as sites and suppliers.
  • Maximise value opportunities through adherence to specific supplier agreements.
  • Work with other buyers and data management in further developing low value high volume product categories.
  • Take the lead on materials purchasing for specific projects as assigned by purchasing manager.
  • Work with other buyers and Line Manager to eliminating wasteful processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Line Manager.

 

Essential Criteria for the Role:

  • Must have construction buying experience in the contrsuction ndustry.
  • Experience in a similar role within an engineering or construction company.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ work experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Work well as part of a team towards a common goal.
  • Negotiating experience
  • A third level qualification preferably in supply chain or other related discipline. 
  • Previous ERP experience.
