Scope of the Role:

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will work on site as part of an experienced commercial management team on a large pharmaceutical project based in West Dublin. The role is 5 days a week on site on the project. You will assist the commercial manager in the day-to-day commercial management of the project but will be expected to work on your own initiative. The role will see the project from early construction phase through to final account agreement with the client on project completion over an eighteen-month period. The successful candidate will be offered an excellent renumeration package and an opportunity to work in an expanding pharmaceutical construction business with great career prospects.

 

Key Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Work alongside project commercial manager in the commercial management of the project .
  • Assist in agreeing on site quantity measures with Client’s representative.
  • Preparation and analysis of supply chain enquiries
  • Preparation and issuing of supply chain contract documents.
  • Management of supply chain accounts monthly
  • Assist in preparation of monthly progress application to Client’s representative.
  • Recording and submission of project change management
  • Issuing contractual notices in conjunction with our project legal representative
  • Identifying and mitigation project Risks
  • Analysis of labour productivity in conjunction with project planning team.
  • Assistance in management of project cash flows
  • Assistance in preparation of the monthly project commercial report to senior management

 

Essential Criteria for the Role:

  • Academically (Degree) qualified and or relevant experience in the industry.
  • 5 years plus minimum experience
  • Understanding and experience in sub-contractor accounts and contract management
  • Good client facing skills
  • Experience in working on re-measurable projects is of benefit but not essential.
